Been waiting for my other-husband to have a concert in Houston.. naabot na lang siyag Europe and Asia but not here! Finally, on Oct. 25, he’s gonna be performing here. I’m ecstatic to see my other-husband for the first time! :p Kinsay lain fans dira, tan-aw ta ninyo! Presale is on the 30th of July. It was very funny ‘coz when I got the Jason Mraz newsletter stating that he’s gonna have a concert here, I was screaming and Brian was like.. WTF! He thought something was wrong…hehehe..
Brian’s very supportive of my affair with Jason!

I wasn’t really fond of Apple Inc. until I started acquiring their products and beat the company many times. Last year, I bought their iPhone, a month after its very first release. I thought it was a very cool gadget except for its price. Back then it was $599 for the 8GB (now it’s only $199!! palit na mo!). But of course, my husband loved me more than money so he bought me one.. Bisan miingon siya nga kung siya ray pabut-on di gyud siya mopalit.. haha.. We had plans of going to Philippines so I was very excited to take it there with me. We called their customer support and asked if they could make it an open line so I could use the local carriers in Philippines instead of paying hefty amount for AT&T roaming. They refused to do it. I researched online and I found out that I could unlock the phone myself using some computer programs. And that was what I did and was successul with it. It wasn’t easy. It took me days to get it to work. So yeah, I enjoyed having an iPhone in Philippines using Globe sim card.

A couple weeks later, I went to the computer and decided to update the software in my iPhone, not knowing that doing so would "brick" the phone. It means the iPhone would become like a useless piece of brick and wouldn’t function at all. Apple found out that many people like me had found ways to unlock the phone and they didn’t like it. So they did something to get back to the people that did it thru software update. So after the update, it was like I was holding a piece of metal that didn’t have any use other than to hit my head with. I was so mad and sad. I asked Brian to call Apple and fuss at them for doing so and see if they could fix my phone. But of course they wouldn’t do it. They told him that I should just buy a new one. What??!! So I went online and researched again on how I could revive my phone. I taught myself some computer programming, some computer languages blah blah blah.. and so after many sleepless nights, I was able to beat Apple again. I fixed my phone! Brian was so surprised and impressed at how I was able to do it when I had no knowledge ’bout computer programming and stuff. Little did he know that he had been sleeping with a genius.. joke! I don’t remember how I did it either so don’t ask! He called me a geek. haha.

Ok, so the third ordeal I had with my iPhone was after I dropped it in the bathroom this year. It had a tiny crack on its right side which made the touch screen feature to not function. In short, phone’s useless… AGAIN! So, almost a year after I bought my phone, we were back to the Apple store. We wanted to see if they could fix the phone for free. But of course they said no after they found out that I had done something to the iPhone’s software saying that that voided the warranty. They said again that I should just buy a new one since fixing it would cost me about the same. So disappointed, we went back home. Back to my computer, the hidden geek inside of me thought of a way to make the not-so-genius people at the Apple store not know that I had tweaked the phone’s software. The next day, we went to a different Apple Store (to make sure the people wouldn’t remember us). And yes! I beat Apple again. They didn’t just fix my phone but they replaced it with a brand new one… for free! HAHA… IN YOUR FACE APPLE!! LOL

We are going back to the Apple Store sometime soon to have the video adapter for my laptop replaced. I let Kyle play with it and it broke. Gi-sermonan na sad ko ni Father Brian nga dili lagi ipadula kang Kyle ang among mga gamit! hehe…kapoy man gud sigeg badlong kang Taklay. Good thing I saved the receipt. It said there that it had a warranty and it’s good until June 2009. So, I’m gonna have an apple gadget replaced again for free.

I really have just been so lucky with Apple and I will continue to support them…. as long as I keep beating them! HAHA!

Today was supposed to be my shop-till-i-drop day but I ended up not buying a single thing after around 3 hours at The Galleria mall. It was either that I was too picky or stuff were just too expensive. I wanted things that not many people have but at the same time, I didn’t wanna pay $400 for a dress that I would only wear once! Though I had my eye on a Louis Vuitton bag that was worth more than $2000! haha. I jokingly asked Brian to give that to me for my birthday and he didn’t seem to be against the idea..i think! HAHA we’ll see! I don’t think he would really buy me a bag that’s worth that much. He might just settle for the $600 LV, which is fine with me!! HAHA!
I have got to find me a job to support myself! :D
