Jason Mraz and Lisa Hannigan had a concert at Verizon Wireless Theater here in Houston, TX last Oct. 25, 2008. I didn’t know what to expect of Lisa Hannigan but I learned to like her and her music at the show. She’s from Ireland. Her music was unique, very relaxing.. pangkatulog hehe.. and her voice was sweet and mesmerizing. And she had her own unique dance moves. She can play many different instruments. She was adorable on stage.. so beautiful, very natural and simple. I had the pleasure of meeting her after the show. She talks very softly.

And of course, I enjoyed watching Jason Mraz on stage. I love his songs a lot ‘coz both the music and lyrics are good. He’s a real talented musician. His voice never faded or went out of tune ever, unlike many other singers when singing live, and he’s the king of ad-libs. He’s one of the only few white guys that can rap very well. He can make voices and he can dance! He’s real entertaining too. He likes to crack jokes and tell stories. He can make the crowd get on their feet and do whatever he tells them to do. He was teaching us the dance moves to one of his songs and everyone participated and was so much fun. Artists like him are the ones that really deserve to become so famous. Listening to him motivates me to practice more guitar and play music.
I just love well-rounded, talented individuals.
The show was so sulit talaga. It started at 7:30 PM and ended at 11:00 PM na. He played most if not all of his songs from his new album We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things and a couple of my favorites from the old one except Geek In The Pink. The crowd just went crazy when he played I’m Yours and Lucky which he sang with Lisa Hannigan.
