Most people drink diet drinks nowadays but what many don’t know is that just because diet sodas have fewer calories than the regular ones doesn’t mean that it can’t lead to weight gain. Studies have shown that consuming these types of drinks can lead to high preference for sweetness overall in their food.. craving for sweet desserts, sweet snacks, etc.

Me, personally, I don’t like drinking diet sodas as they don’t taste as good as the regular ones.. but I don’t really drink that much soda anyway. I could only drink about 1/3 of a glass during a meal. I prefer juices or wine (haha back in the days..) or water. I know of some people who drink way too much soda. It’s what they drink as soon as they wake up until bedtime, and they take pills with it (not water!). They drink Coke Zero or the other diet drinks ONLY. But the irony is, they’re so obese and still keeps gaining more and more weight LOL. They still haven’t realized that it’s not what they drink but how much they drink that makes them gain weight. One diet soda a day is fine, but drinking 5 or 6 cans or more isn’t dieting at all!

In addition, high consumption of the artificial sweetener used in diet sodas lead to cancers in the laboratory rodents.

Bottom line: Diet soda does you no good, and it might just be doing you wrong.

So forget diet soda, DRINK BEER! hehe joke!

Went to mi hubby’s company Christmas Party last night at Hotel Icon in downtown Houston. It was a cocktail party. Met some nice people and the company’s CEO/Founder. Dang, it was intimidating to be around millionaire traders and their wives/gf’s. We were probably the only ones who weren’t millionaires… or maybe two of the very few. Needless to say, everyone’s dressed sophisticated and there were so many hot women. But I can say this, rich people’s parties are boring..lingaw pa atong pinobre na party! hehe..

p.s. Didn’t take pictures ‘coz nobody else was but the company’s receptionist!

All of us no doubt have vast amounts of information about ourselves stored on our computer’s hard drive, or perhaps on a flash drive that we carry with us.  You likely even transmit some of this data occasionally via email or smartphone as well.  Maybe you also run your own business, and have very sensitive information about your business stored as well.  Needless to say, you could be in for a world of problems if any or all of this data were to fall into the wrong hands, and in this day and age, you cannot be too careful when it comes to protecting yourself.  Not sure what the best way is to go about setting up a good defense? PGP Corporation, considered to be the pacesetter when it comes to file encryption software is here to help!  PGP offers a wide array of encryption software, suitable for emails, hard drives, mobile devices, and much more!  Whatever your needs, you can be sure they have a product tailor to help out.  And the best part is that you can download a trial edition of PGP’s products in order to assist you in finding which product is right for you.  So visit their website today (www.pgp.com).  Remember, the time to act is not after you have been a victim of data theft, but before!

Heard/saw some interesting quotes from my friends this week. They are:

“Tell me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are”

“Birds of the same feather flock together”

“Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing”

and my most favorite:

“Ang mga taga bukid: You can take them away from the bukid but you can’t take the bukid away from them” LOL.

FRIENDSHIP: No matter how good you treat your friends, no matter how hard you try to please them, there’s always gonna be those that will try to bring you down. These are the type of people that aren’t happy and content with their life and by talking bad things about you or making up stuff, they feel contentment, although temporarily.. so pathetic. These things didn’t necessarily happen to me (or at least I didn’t hear people talking bad about me.. YET! (just dare and u’ll feel the wrath of a devilish angel).. but i’m actually optimistic with the friends i have now so i’m not worried). Unfortunately, I’ve seen it happening to my other friends. I’m just glad I’m not around those types of people anymore.

And so I’m gonna keep loving the life I have with all the good people around me! Thank you Lord.

We all remember what it was like to be a kid, and could take a trip to the local mall to sit on Santa’s lap, telling him how good we have been this year and all of the things we wanted for Christmas. Here is a neat little way to bring back the memories of those days, by taking part in the Sit on Santa’s Lap Experience. Obviously, since you are not actually sitting on the lap of Santa Claus, so how does this work? It’s simple. Find a photo of youself first, and a few minutes into the show, you will have the opportunity to upload your photo and make a wish. You will then appear with Santa Claus, as if you indeed are sitting there on his lap! It’s really neat. I used a photo of me taken in front of my house, as it is special to me since this is my first home, but you can choose any photo of yourself, provided it does not contain any inappropriate content of course! This is your way to feel like a kid again. And not only that, you will see in the show the CEIVA Digital Photo Frame. This isn’t just any digital photo frame requiring you to save pictures onto a flash drive and then transfer to the frame itself. You can send photos directly to it, or even have someone else send the photos using a computer or phone from anywhere in the world . How cool is that?!

And by the way, if you’ve got a wish this Christmas and would want for it to come true, go to http://www.sitonsantaslap.com/?utm_source=b to enter the sweepstakes. One entry will be randomly selected and given a cash prize of 500 dollars every day! So check out the website now!
